1. Child Rights Network in the Academy

The Children's Rights Network in Academia is a platform operating in the field of application by making it easier for legislators and decision-makers to benefit from scientific information produced in this field, through curricular studies in education/training in academia, increasing the production of qualitative scientific knowledge in the field, national and international research activities.

In 2019, Ankara University Child Culture Research and Application Center, Hacettepe University Child Rights Application and Research Center, Sabancı University Education Reform Initiative, Istanbul Bilgi University Child Studies Unit, Bilkent University International Children's Center, Giresun University Child Rights Application and Research Center, Istanbul University Child Protection Application and Research Center, Bogazici University Social Policy Center and Özyeğin University Interdisciplinary Child Rights Laboratory.

It is aimed to seek partnership opportunities in education and research activities in the field of children's rights and to share experiences and to establish collaborations with academic centers operating in the field of children's rights in Europe. In the medium term, it is aimed to organize a joint international master's program in this field with international cooperation. Özyeğin University hosts Network meetings, and the Laboratory runs the Network's secretariat.

2. Towards Child-Friendly Judgment

With this study, from the perspective of child-friendly judging, where the Child-Friendly Justice Guide adopted by the Council of Europe is accepted as a criterion, the legal processes that concern or affect children and the current situation in the judiciary professionally, solution suggestions on this issue and the academy before, during and after the trial. It is aimed to seek cooperation opportunities and to establish a Forum for the full implementation of child-friendly judging. The workshop was attended by the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, Ankara, Antalya, Balıkesir, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kırklareli, Konya, İstanbul, İzmir, Trabzon Bar Associations Child Rights Commissions, which we held on December 6, 2019. As a result of the evaluation of the workshop results, it is envisaged that a certified training study on child-friendly judgment will be conducted in 2020 for the lawyers who are members of the child rights commissions or centers of the bar associations.

3.Children's Rights Education Studies

Children's rights training activities, professional groups working directly or indirectly with children, institutions and organizations, and training activities that include the theoretical general framework and the field-specific issues where the training is requested are carried out.

4.Ad Hoc Collaborations

Ad hoc collaborations that transform the application; In order to transform a practice that is contrary to the benefit of the child, joint studies will be carried out to change the law and transform the practice to solve a certain problem in cooperation with academia-professional organizations. This collaboration offer Lab. as well as from public institutions and organizations, professional organizations and non-governmental organizations.

5. Decisions Regarding Children

It carries out activities such as translating important international court decisions on children's rights into Turkish and compiling national decisions.



Under the leadership of Özyeğin University, Ayşe Kılıç attended the meeting on Children's Rights in the "Academy" on August 31, 2019. Children's Ag(Acha) meetings and studies are still continuing in the academy.

The second activity of our center, a multidisciplinary approach and protection symposium on child abuse and neglect cases was held between 20-21 December 2019.

The second activity of our center, a multidisciplinary approach and protection symposium to child abuse and neglect cases, was held between 20-21 December 2018.



On the 1st day, the opening was made with the participation of our Deputy Governor, Istanbul University Vice Rector, Istanbul Medical Faculty Dean, Istanbul Provincial Health Director, Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education, Non-Governmental Organizations, Child Monitoring Centers.



Afterwards, two separate panels were organized. In these panels, speakers from each discipline specialized in their own field discussed child abuse and neglect in detail.2. On the other hand, a detailed approach to a case was made with a psychodrama course.



Nearly 500 students, lawyers, psychologists, and civil society founder representatives attended the symposium. Nearly 30 people attended the psychodrama course. Plaques were given to the speakers and certificates were given to the participants.






































The first activity of our center, a "Multidisciplinary" course was held between 01-02 August 2018 on child abuse and approach to cases.


After giving general information in this course, a workshop was conducted on the cases. On the other hand, a detailed approach to a case was made with a psychodrama course.

About Us

Our association was established in 1983 for the benefit of Mevlanakapı Boys' Orphanage.



From 1994 to 2017, it provided service to our girls who were under the protection of the state in Bahçelievler Atatürk Girls' Orphanage, which is affiliated to SHÇEK, and after 2017, it supported the Atatürk Child Support Center with the institutional structure change.



Today T.C. In addition to providing services to children under the protection of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, it supports the education of our girls in need in the society.

Our Mission

  • To support the education of our girls who continue their secondary and higher education.
  •  To provide all kinds of financial and moral support in order to alleviate, treat or erase the traumas experienced by our girls under protection and girls in need of protection.
  •   To support the institutional structure by raising the standards of the common living spaces and education areas of children staying in state dormitories.
  •   Our mission is to find solutions to the needs of our children (Home, Furniture, Work, etc.) who have left the dormitory, and to help them bring in physically and mentally healthy individuals to the society.

It is to support our children in need of protection and all our girls who want to study, and to work to make them individuals who are firmly on the ground, self-confident, educated, strong and will shape the future.
